Precision Partials
When a patient has some healthy teeth left, but is missing several, a partial denture can restore their smile by providing a complement piece for their existing teeth.
Traditional partial dentures are held in place by metal clasps that go around existing teeth to hold the partial ones in place. While this can be a much less expensive and simpler solution than removing the remaining teeth for a full denture, there is the drawback that those metal clasps are often visible when you talk or smile.
We can solve this problem of wire or clasp visibility using what are called precision partial dentures.
